Bitfusion’s new Boost Beta platform leverages cloud-based hardware accelerators to improve performance by an order of magnitude on existing hardware. The advanced optimization technology for high-performance, compute-intensive applications offers a software-acceleration layer that automatically provides performance improvements for high-performance and GPU-accelerated applications like Blender, ImageMagick, R, NumPy, Octave, MATLAB, FFmpeg, and Torch.
Boost Beta allows users to automatically upgrade their applications’ performance without replacing or upgrading their hardware such as adding CPU-based server nodes. With the combination of custom-compiled and pre-optimized open-source libraries and Bitfusion’s bursting technology, Boost Beta is able to automatically accelerate applications in data analytics, machine learning, rendering, imaging, video processing, and scientific computing. Boost Beta exposes unused hardware capabilities, providing order of magnitude performance gains for a fraction of the cost of a rip-and-replace.
To get started, users can download Boost directly onto their machines or onto their cloud. Boost Beta then automatically takes advantage of all available system resources and bursts out portions of a workload to hardware accelerators in the cloud.
Boost Beta is priced on a per node basis starting at $80/month or $800/year.
