Parse Introduces Bolts! An Open Source Library Making Building Apps Even Easier!

Bolts is a collection of open-source, low-level libraries designed to make developing mobile apps easier. The first components of Bolts is 'Tasks', which makes it easier to write asynchronous code. Using Bolts does not require using any Parse or Facebook services, nor does it require having a Parse or Facebook developer account. Simply download the jar or framework file and drop it into your project. Or you can download the source directly from GitHub. Parse Push Adds Support for GCM

The Parse Android SDK now supports using Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) to receive push notifications. This allows your Parse app to receive pushes over a connection that is shared with other apps using GCM and maximizes battery life.

Adding Third-Party Authentication to Your Web App
