OpenFL Technologies and Sungame Corporation Announce Support for Glasses Free 3D

Posted on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 by RICHARD HARRIS, Executive Editor

Sungame is working with OpenFL Technologies to provide Stereoscopic 3D (S3D) support for the free OpenFL development platform. This enables OpenFL developers, in addition to developers familiar with Flash, to quickly support glasses-free 3D devices.

OpenFL developers can leverage S3D where supported, while remaining compatible with 2D screens. Games and applications created with OpenFL can target native Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Tizen, in addition to Flash and HTML5, now with S3D capability.

OpenFL Technologies is the creator of the OpenFL open-source development platform. OpenFL enables native development for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Tizen, as well as Flash and HTML5, from the same codebase. OpenFL enables developers to build projects using the Haxe programming language and deploy C++, SWF and JavaScript applications automatically.

Sungame builds products that support its mission by creating utility for users, developers and advertisers in a digical eco-system called The Flightdeck which enables people to stay connected, access and discover new content as well as socialize with their friends and family across different social media platforms. The platform allows its users to create, discover, share, and fund content they care about. Sungame enables advertisers to engage subsets of users based on information the users have chosen to share with the platform such as their age, location, gender or interests.

Sungame also allows developers to use the Flightdeck Platform to create audio, video, editorial content and applications (apps) that they can market and distribute to the platform's global network of users. Flightdeck's content focused strategy gives advertisers a unique combination of reach, relevance, social context, and engagement to enhance the value of their ads.
