New rich media capabilities from WhyteSpyder

Fayetteville-based ecommerce and technology firm WhyteSpyder announced the official launch of its new Rich Media offering that produces dynamic multimedia modules to increase conversions and engagement with online shoppers.

Rich media is a hot topic in the ecommerce industry, and understandably so. According to MDG Advertising, 70% of consumers want to learn about products through content as opposed to traditional ad methods, and a study conducted by Ice Portal found that rich media increases conversion rates by 64%. Through rich media, retailers and suppliers gain a more relevant and engaging avenue for reaching their target market.

“It’s vital to have rich media for engagement and conversions,” said Charles Kochel, Director of Marketing at WhyteSpyder. “It not only gives the shopper all the information they want and need, it engages that shopper to really let them see and do things they can’t in-store.”

These Rich Media offerings could include creative photography, authentic video, feature sets, 360 degree tours, interactive tours, documents, and microsites within the item detail page. WhyteSpyder will leverage its two content production studios for maximum efficiency and high turnaround rates for rich media creation.

“Our Rich Media services focus on telling the item story to the customer, engaging them to learn more about the product,” Kochel said. “It answers customer questions about the product, such as what it is, how it works, and if it’s a good fit for the customer.”

WhyteSpyder offers custom rich media plans for each unique item page, allowing brands to pick and choose from hundreds of different modules. Each custom rich media plan acts like a webpage within the item page, including hyperlinks and landing pages that drive traffic to your page.

“We work to give our clients exactly what they need,” said Eric Howerton, CEO of WhyteSpyder. “We don’t force them to take an all or none approach, and our pricing is very transparent. We customize packages and push down estimates as low as we can.”

The new Rich Media offerings will work in conjunction with WhyteSpyder’s SKU Ninja software, empowering the creation and publication of rich media. SKU Ninja scrapes and audits an item detail page, identifying where you’re strong and where you’re not.

“SKU Ninja will work in tandem with our new Rich Media capabilities,” Kochel said. “It’s your daily checkpoint ensuring your item detail page is still best in class, and all rich media inclusions on your page are functioning at their highest capacity.”
