Intercede Releases New High Level Mobile Security Solution

Posted on Sunday, February 14, 2016 by RICHARD HARRIS, Executive Editor

Intercede has released RapID, a security solution that delivers password and token free access to cloud services from mobile applications. In addition, RapID incorporates PKI based authentication and encryption to provide security for business and consumer applications. The solution is designed to establish trusted relationships between end users and services providers using applications that involve sensitive data or are transaction based.

RapID is a cloud-based solution that can be integrated within new or existing mobile applications via two or three API calls. Once incorporated, the user is guided through an initial identification and verification by the service provider and a unique digital credential is issued to the smartphone in question.

After that initial enrolment, users access the application via a PIN code or fingerprint scan. No other user can access the relevant application account without being in possession of both the correct device and the relevant PIN or fingerprint offering mutual, two-factor authentication.

RapID is available for iOS and Android based phones and tablets and can be scaled to service millions of devices. The solution is built on Intercede’s MyID platform which is currently deployed to secure access to sensitive data held within government, aerospace, defense and banking sectors.
