Corona Labs has announced the launch of Corona Native for Windows. Corona Native tools expand the basic functionality of the platform: they let developers enable native Java and C++ libraries within Corona-based apps. With Corona Native for Windows developers can create apps of any complexity using all the requisite services, from analytics to monetization.
“Corona - is a perfect cross-platform engine to create 2D games and apps quickly. Utilizing Corona Native developers can add libraries, plugins, and services that are needed - everything that will help their projects to grow and evolve.” said Stepan Solovyov, CEO Corona Labs.
In addition to that, Corona Native provides the ability to build an app offline, independently from the server. The framework requires internet connection only to check plugin status which makes the development process safer.
Stepan continued to say that, “Corona Native’s functionality has been available for macOS users in a while, where Xcode is a native development environment. Now we’re happy to release it for Windows as well. Corona Native fits ideally developers who are familiar with native development principles and feel comfortable with Android Studio or Xcode. Our community highly appreciates Corona for its simplicity and availability, however, many developers call for a more complicated and unique approach. Corona Native comes to help in this case.”
As well as Corona SDK engine, all Corona Native tools are completely free. Also, developers can sell plugins created with Corona Native using an on-site marketplace. Corona Native is distributed in line with the primary Corona engine. Additional details are in corporate blog.
