Microsoft has released into general availability Azure Logic Apps, Microsoft’s Integration Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) that provides hybrid application connectivity to connect traditional on-premises systems and cloud-native applications.

Logic Apps makes it possible to complete projects faster and iterate more efficiently by offering a set of out-of-the-box connectors that can help integrate SaaS applications such as Office 365, Salesforce, Dynamics CRM and more. With Logic Apps, developers can connect to any existing on-premises system directly through Microsoft’s on-premises data gateway.

Included is the Enterprise Integration Pack Public Preview in Logic Apps, providing the ability for a company to work with trading partners across company firewalls securely using standard enterprise messaging protocols.

Microsoft has provided the ability to integrate Azure offerings such as Azure IoT Suite, Cortana Intelligence and services such as machine learning and cognitive services with Logic Apps. Logic Apps also works together with BizTalk Server, along with Microsoft’s API Management and messaging service (Azure Service Bus).

The company recently shipped BizTalk Server 2016 Community Technology Preview 2 with a number of new features, including compatibility with latest first party platforms such as Visual Studio 2015, Windows Server 2016, SQL Server 2016 and Office 2016, SQL Server 2016 AlwaysOn Availability Groups and more.
