Conduit Mobile Rebrands App Generating Platform as Como

Posted on Monday, May 19, 2014 by RICHARD HARRIS, Executive Editor

Conduit Mobile is rebranding its mobile app generation platform to the new name Como, which offers a non coding environment to create apps for all major mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, and HTML5).

Along with a new name, logo, website, blog, etc, the company is also introducing the Como Console, an all-in-one platform for creating, editing, managing, and promoting apps.

The Como Console provides the ability to customize an app with an expanded selection of colors, icons, layouts, styles, and backgrounds. The new platform also offers additional opportunities for e-commerce, including Amazon, MyCheck, Online Ordering, and Bringg. The Como Console includes a new marketing resource center designed to help promote apps.

The platform also offers a new business operations dashboard to manage activities like customer reservations and orders, deliveries, coupons, loyalty cards, in-app sales, and other promotions. The Como Console offers in-app payment options for both virtual and physical products. For example, publishers can automatically submit their Como-created apps to the Amazon Appstore for download on Kindle Fire devices. Amazon merchants using Como can now instantly add their Amazon store to their Como app (for all supported mobile devices) which means that app users can buy goods from the Amazon store straight from the app.

The platform also enables developers the opportunity to offer customers in-app mobile payment options that let them view and pay their bills straight from an app. Como is working with Bringg to provide the ability to manage orders, deliveries, and tracking. For example the platform enables communications between a business, delivery person, and customer via push notification updates and in-app map tracking.

Como Console also includes a new marketing resource center featuring marketing tools to help publishers promote app discovery and attract new users, both on and offline. This includes the ability to automatically create and distribute fully customized Facebook advertising campaigns for an app.
