Apple is the proven leader

It's left players like Android, Amazon, and Windows phone trying to catch-up with not only the technology but the leadership driving their platforms.

They are calling it the 'Impossible leadership of Apple Inc.' Apple is certainly a trendsetter and is no doubt where most app developers can feel more at home, and earned the most revenue. But that doesn't go to say you shouldn't also consider and put yourself in the other markets too.
