Accenture Makes a Move to Expand its Enterprise Mobile Footprint with Crittercism Stake

Posted on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

Accenture is expanding its footprint in enterprise mobile with its minority investment and licensing agreement with Crittercism, a mobile application performance management (mAPM) company.

Accenture will become a reseller for Crittercism’s mAPM solution, making the tool available to Accenture clients alongside other elements of the Accenture Application Factory, which designs, builds, tests and manages applications for enterprises.

Crittercism helps enterprises understand how their apps are performing across different devices, networks and operating systems, and what may be causing issues around application response time, uptime and crashes. This data enables real-time identification of productivity and revenue loss from apps. As part of a Joint Development Agreement also signed, Accenture has overseen the development of the Crittercism Executive Dashboard App for the iPad.

Accenture has the capability to be a major player in the enterprise mobile industry with its 289,000 people providing consulting, technology services and outsourcing to clients in more than 120 countries. With $28.6 billion in net revenues last year, it can wield serious clout.

Its Accenture Mobility program, which is part of Accenture Digital, plans, implements and manages mobility solutions for businesses and public organizations, including developing and implementing enterprise mobility strategies; incorporating applications and managed services; creating and delivering mCommerce solutions; and supplying business ready connected product offerings.
