The 2014 Hour of Code global event is happening now as part of Computer Science Education Week. The event is organized by Code.org. The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science. The concept was created to demystify code. It is also for those who just want to learn the fundamentals.

Computer Science Education Week (#CSEdWeek) was welcomed by President Obama as he visited 30 middle-school-aged students from Brooklyn, NY and Newark, NJ to also participate in the “Hour of Code” for the White House. Millions of people worldwide will be participating in the Hour of Code events this week.
