Who will own the Metaverse and why

The Augmented World Expo moves back to in-person and VRdirect is looking forward to connecting with many of the movers and shakers of the VR/AR industry this week.

For those there, or even those of you who aren’t, here’s why VRdirect should be on your radar screen.

Who will own the Metaverse and why

1) Facebook’s Meta, Microsoft, and Apple. Their bigwigs may not be as keen to talk to you about the metaverse outside of their PR talking points. Their Managing Director and co-founder Rolf Illenberger is more than happy to give you a take on who will own the metaverse and why advertisers may (or may not) be keen on jumping head-first into it.

2) For some of their staff, it’s the first time in the States since the COVID 19 pandemic began in 2020. Since then, they have worked with several of the biggest European companies out there including Nestle, Porsche, and Deutsche-Telekom on everything from VR-based on-boarding programs to white-labeling B2B software for major telecoms.

3) They have opened a U.S. office and named Reza Pahl as its Head of U.S. Operations

4) They named former SpaceX and Lucasfilm executive David Anderman to the board of overseers

5) They announced the release of their VRdirect Studio 2.5 software update

For those of you in Cali, their booth is No. 619. For those of you who aren’t, VRdirect is happy to show you their unique, easy-to-use software solution for enterprise users looking to invest in the metaverse. Or just chat with you about the state of the metaverse for any potential stories you may have up your sleeves. They have also teamed up with Pico Interactive, recently acquired by ByteDance, to offer demo units of their Neo 3 Pro device, if interested.
