Triple T transport goes live with Trucker Tools

Triple T Transport has gone live with Smart Capacity, a freight matching and carrier connectivity platform from Trucker Tools. Over the past several months, Triple T conducted an evaluation of freight-matching and trucker connectivity portals as part of a strategic technology assessment. At issue was a decision of how to invest in or build technologies that would support a trusted and reliably-connected carrier network while providing features and functions to improve capacity management and utilization for customers.

The assessment resulted in the selection Trucker Tools Smart Capacity as its next-generation platform for carrier connectivity and capacity management, noted Darin Puppel, president of the Columbus, Ohio-based Triple T. The company arranges transportation for approximately 60,000 loads annually, specializing in refrigerated truckload and less-than-truckload logistics and an expanding portfolio of dry van, flatbed and intermodal shipments.

“We have always wanted to be able to map our carriers more efficiently, and know in real  time where as many of them are at any point,” said Puppel. 'We found Smart Capacity to be a proven, effective platform that delivered these capabilities and that we could quickly implement.'

Puppel cited as key differentiators Smart Capacity's ability to effectively predict when and where capacity would become available, connectivity to thousands of trucks, its accurate, real-time data and its freight matching algorithms.

An 'in-the-cloud' delivered application, Smart Capacity is integrated with the transportation management system Triple T uses from McLeod Software to automatically match available loads with capacity in its trusted carrier network. The technology also leverages Trucker Tools smart-phone app, providing connectivity with owner-operators as well as fleets.

“We welcome Triple T Transport to the fast-growing list of clients using this advanced predictive freight matching technology,” said Prasad Gollapalli, founder and chief executive of Trucker Tools. “Smart Capacity responds to the dynamic challenges 3PLs and brokers face in today's capacity-constrained market. We are helping them strengthen relationships with their carriers and shipper customers by making freight transactions for both parties faster, smoother and more efficient.”
