Posted on Saturday, August 13, 2016 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

GitHub Universe is the flagship user conference for the GitHub community. The event will be held in San Francisco on September 14 -15, and is intended for developers, operations and system administrators, technical leads, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. The event features two keynotes, six featured speakers, and twenty-four breakout sessions that dive deep into technical and team challenges of building software.

On September 13 the GitHub team will sponsor a Training Day which offers comprehensive and in-depth learning from GitHub's Professional Services team. The training is broken down into to tracks - GitHub Power User and DevOps Workflows. The GitHub Power User track sessions will include: Getting Started with Innersourcing; Automating Your Workflow with the GitHub API; and Gaining Confidence via Visualizations. The DevOps Workflows sessions will include: Implementing a CI/CD Pipeline with GitHub; Making the Most of GitHub Integrations; and Getting Started with ChatOps.

Also on September 13, integrators and other teams building on-top of the GitHub API have an opportunity to come together for a “Platform Day” mini-conference. This pre-conference event brings together members of the GitHub ecosystem to learn from each other, share best practices, and hear from GitHub platform and business development teams. Information about requesting an invitation is available here.

The “Ask Services” part of the main conference provides an opportunity to get one-on-one time with the GitHub Field Services team. This is a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discuss workflows, use cases, migrations, configurations of a GitHub Enterprise instance or any other Git topics. Ask Services is available to all Universe attendees but due to limited availability spots must be reserved in advance here.

Attendance Cost

General admission is $599 and includes access to the GitHub Universe on September 14-15th at Pier 70. Also includes admission for the badge holder to The Big Bang after party benefit concert on September 14th.

A General admission + training ticket option is available for $699 and includes everything in the general admission ticket, plus a full day of training from the GitHub Training team on September 13t with a choice of either the GitHub Power User or DevOps Workflows training tracks.
