Site24x7 Releases Updates to Mobile Application Performance Management Platform

Posted on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

Site24x7 offers a cloud monitoring service for DevOps and IT operations that provides the ability to monitor and troubleshoot applications, servers and network infrastructures, including private and public cloud instances.

The company has announced the general availability of a new real user monitoring (RUM) solution and updates to its mobile application performance management (APM) platform. With the announcement, the company’s application performance monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities now cover the full data path of both desktop browsers and native mobile apps.

RUM Real User Performance Monitoring

The RUM solution provides insight into real users’ application experiences and helps visualize Web app interaction patterns. It offers a view into the complete life cycle of a Web page and helps analyze how real users experience applications with performance captured from various perspectives such as browser, platform, country and ISP.

When integrated with Site24x7’s APM Insight (a performance monitoring tool for Java, .NET and Ruby on Rails Web transactions) RUM facilitates app performance analysis in a single console providing developers with visibility from the end users’ experience to back-end dependencies.

Mobile APM for iOS and Android App Developers

The Site24x7 updates to its Mobile APM solution now offer the ability for iOS and Android developers to manage mobile apps and receive visibility into mobile application behavior providing the ability to resolve performance issues that affect end-user experience. The new APM capabilities provide insight into performance issues across the development stack, from the application Web client and native mobile apps to the back-end database.

The platform provides data on application response times and device details such as operating system, browser and device. The Mobile APM gives visibility into native Android and iOS app behavior and helps resolve performance issues that affect end-user experience. Developers can also analyze the responsiveness of mobile apps by monitoring individual transactions by response time and throughput.
