RealVNC just launched VNC Connect with cloud, direct, and hybrid options

RealVNC, the original developer and provider of VNC remote access and control software, has just announced the release of a major new remote access product called VNC Connect.  Launched at the SpiceWorld IT Conference in Austin, Texas, VNC Connect combines the convenience of a cloud service with the flexibility of direct connections, giving organizations the ability to optimize a remote access strategy to meet the needs of their business.

Developed in direct response to customer demand, VNC Connect opens a much larger remote access market opportunity for RealVNC. The new product will allow companies to benefit from reduced support costs, improved service quality, better system uptime and will help to mitigate the risks associated with on-site service activities.

With the new VNC Connect, customers can choose to use cloud, direct or “hybrid” connections in order to match specific application, security and performance requirements. A brand new user interface also allows them to discover, manage and establish their cloud or direct connections faster than ever before.  The web-based account gives complete control for managing the users and computers that form an organization's remote control estate.

VNC Connect is licensed under a subscription model with three clearly defined audiences:

Home Subscription
Easy-to-use remote access for friends and family.
Free for non-commercial home use.

Professional Subscription
Feature-rich and secure remote access for departments and small businesses.
Starting at $40 per year for one computer.

Enterprise Subscription
Powerful, flexible and ultra-secure remote access for the enterprise.
Starting at $55 per year for one computer.
