The new mobile game Pretzel Land, published by Wild River, the gaming label of Bavarian company Eurovideo Medien GmbH, has been given an official release date. From Tuesday, 18th September, the funny simulation with Bavarian atmosphere is available to download for iOS and Android. Fans of Bavarian culture can get in the mood for the Munich Oktoberfest a few days before its official start with the help of Pretzel Land. The Free2Play title turns players into ambitious village mayors who bring their own Bavarian village to life through skill and smart planning, immersing themselves in an authentic Alpine setting which adds to the atmosphere and complements the fun.

"In Pretzel Land, we created a clever strategy game that is a lot of fun and captures the Bavarian way of life in a funny, tongue-in-cheek sort of way," says Marc Wardenga, Head of Games at Eurovideo Medien. "The game is easy to control and allows construction of an intricate economy. There are many different ways to progress. You won’t get bored with Pretzel Land anytime soon."

In Pretzel Land, players take on the role of mayor of a newly-built Bavarian village, set in a scenic Alpine environment. There is a lot to do: constructing residential buildings, creating a effective infrastructure, setting up business operations, establishing production and supply chains, all while ensuring the satisfaction and happiness of their villagers. What better way to keep everyone happy than with a traditional village festival and traditional fare? Beer, pork shanks and the usual cold cuts and cheeses are obviously as essential as the titular Pretzels. Whoever can lead their village to prosperity and happiness will win the people’s heart.

Pretzel Land is available in German and English. It will be available for global download from the App Store and Google Play Story from September 18th. The title is free to play and offers in-app purchases. Pretzel Land was developed by GamesInFlames, which belongs to the RPC Network. The project was approved for funding by FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, which promotes and supports Bavarian media.
