New Developer's Guide to Windows 10 Video Course Now Available

Developers who want to get a head start on Windows 10 can now learn more about the platform in a new Microsoft Virtual Academy training course titled, “A Developer’s Guide to Windows 10,” which is now available on demand. 

This is video training course is designed to help developers understand the Windows 10 Universal Windows Platform. To get started building apps using Visual Studio 2015 RC and the tools for Windows 10 (Technical Preview), developers can watch the video and find the code for all the samples used in this course.

The courses cover topics including fundamental platform considerations, patterns, and tools available for building successful Windows apps. Several core scenarios that apps handle are surveyed including low memory, background task execution, cross-device communication, file and data management, and user interaction techniques. Developers will learn methods for UI adaption to changing conditions, adapting code to different device-types, as well as connecting devices, sharing data, and storing state.
