Microsoft Announces Developers Have 180 Days to Fix Security Vulnerabilities

According to a notice posted on the Microsoft Security Response Center website, developers have 180 days to fix security vulnerabilities or face removal.

The announcement impacts all apps, including Microsoft apps, in the Windows Store, Windows Phone Store, Office Store, and Azure Marketplace,

The 180 days pertains to apps that are not under active attack and are rated �critical� or �important� according to the Microsoft Security Response Center rating system.
