Get Dental Care from your phone with Dentulu

Sofa loving Los Angeles residents can now order Uber Eats and book their next dental appointment—all from a smartphone. It’s the new wave of patients taking control of their healthcare.

Dentulu is a new mobile app that brings the dentist’s chair to patients’ homes. You can even swipe right until you find your best dental provider match.

The Uber-like service is set to launch on 4/1/19 starting with the Los Angeles market with plans to offer services throughout the U.S. in the coming months.

Arash Hakhamian is the CEO, co-founder and lead dental provider for Dentulu. He comes from a long line of dentists including his immediate family members who are all dental professionals. Hakhamian graduated from UCLA with honors and later from USC’s School of Dentistry also with honors. He teaches dental surgery and lectures on a variety of subjects related to dentistry internationally and brings over 10 years of clinical experience including mobile dentistry for celebrities as well as Saudi Arabian royalty. He was recently voted by his peers as one of the Top 40 Dentists Under 40 as published in Incisal Edge Magazine. Hakhamian makes annual trips to Guatemala and other impoverished countries to provide free oral care to communities in need.

Dr. Arash Hakhamian comments, “Uber jokes aside, there is a tremendous amount of the population that still doesn’t have access to oral care. The elderly and handicapped may avoid regular dental appointments altogether due to lack of access.

There are also neighborhoods where there aren’t enough dentists available to service the area. That means longer than average wait times—both for appointments and during the actual office visit.”

Not only does Dentulu come to you, the service also incorporates technology and other features designed to eliminate patient stress and anxiety.

Dentulu dental professionals use virtual technology glasses, aroma therapy and other visual and auditory stimuli to relax patients prior to and during treatment.

With a simple touch, swipe and tap, patients get an entirely different, entirely positive dental experience without ever having to leave their home or office.

Imagine getting ready to watch a movie at home, biting your popcorn kernel wrong and being able to have a dentist come fix your tooth before the movie finishes.

“Dentulu offers convenience, cleanliness, and preventative and restorative dental care to patients ages 18 years and older,” said Hakhamian.

“This type of care has previously been available to private clients, but we’re creating a movement to bring dental care and technology to the mainstream population with the simple click of a button.

“We’re putting patient care in the hands of patients and their doctors—not the clinic and all the anxiety-producing sights, smells and sounds you encounter at your dentist’s office,” said Hakhamian.

“We’ve found a way to leverage leading-edge technology throughout the entire process—from your virtual consultation to booking an appointment, to receiving treatment in the private setting of your choice,” said co-founder and COO Michael Wright.

Services start at $299, and while Dentulu is currently out of network, patients can pay upfront and be reimbursed by their insurance providers.

Partially subsidized oral health care may be available for qualifying patients.
