AgeCheq has announced a new Corona software development kit which provides the ability to integrate AgeCheq’s COPPA compliance service to all apps that use the Corona Labs 2D game engine.
With AgeCheq, game publishers who may have children under 13 in their audience can comply with COPPA privacy regulations by using the SDK to add a few lines of code to their game. Existing games can be updated, tested and re-posted to the app stores within a single day.
With the addition of Corona Labs’ game engine, AgeCheq now supports all of the major game development environments, including native iOS, native Android, HTML5 and Unity.
AgeCheq’s Corona SDK includes Lua files with a default view that demonstrates the proper use of each network.request call to AgeCheq’s servers. Corona developers simply need to customize the look and feel of the view and add their AgeCheq developer and app ID keys, then recompile and test their game. The SDK works for both iOS and Android app builds. Full documentation of the Corona SDK is available
here.
The AgeCheq Corona SDK and the basic AgeCheq service are offered free to all Corona developers. The basic service includes unlimited usage and a developer dashboard for managing privacy disclosure information. For publishers with millions of monthly users, AgeCheq offers a paid “Pro” service that provides useful analytics on onboarding, player usage and disclosure page views, as well as transition controls.
