Adeneo Embedded is expanding its developer offerings for embedded environments with the release of the Texas Instruments (TI) Android KitKat 4.4.4 development kit based on Android KitKat 4.4 for TI’s Sitara AM335x Evaluation Module (EVM) and AM335x Starter Kit, as well as Beagleboard.org’s BeagleBone Black. This release includes improvements for CTS compliance for the AM335x EVM, Starter Kit and BeagleBone Black.

Adeneo Embedded is a Texas Instruments' partner for the development, support and maintenance of Android BSPs (board support package) for Sitara architectures. It covers KitKat, Lollipop and future Android versions targeting most recent Sitara architectures  separator.

The Sitara AM335x EVM enables developers to immediately start evaluating the AM335x processor family. The AM335x Starter Kit provides a stable and affordable platform to quickly start evaluation of Sitara ARM Cortex-A8 AM335x processors. The BeagleBone Black is a low-cost, open source, community-supported development platform based on AM335x processors for ARM Cortex-A8 developers and hobbyists.

Software components that are supported in this release include: Android KitKat 4.4 release from Google, Android Linux Kernel 3.2, Android GCC toolchain 4.7, Bootloader (SPL and U-Boot), SGX OpenGL ES Driver and Libraries DDK v1.10, built-in applications and demos, and peripheral drivers.

This BSP is fully validated using CTS testing suite, and implements separation between system and boot partitions.

This Android KitKat release for Sitara AM335x processors release package is available in three different binary packages containing support for each target platform:  AM335x EVM, AM335x Starter Kit, and BeagleBone Black.  The packages contain a prebuilt binary image that can be flashed on to a SD/MMC card

The Android KitKat 4.4.4 BSPs targeting Sitara AM335x processors complements the Sitara AM437x Android KitKat BSPs Adeneo Embedded released a few months ago.
