Acision Launches New Developer Portal for WebRTC and IP Services

Posted on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

Acision has announced the availability of a new self-service developer portal for its forge by Acision  communication platform to give developers the ability to inject smart communication features into their iOS/Android applications and services from the cloud.

The forge communications framework provides the ability to integrate SMS, IP messaging, notifications, video and voice connectivity. It also offers intelligent routing, rich media file transfer, in addition to presence. Developers can enhance the experience of their app, while growing and managing engagement opportunities by implementing peer-to-peer, one-to-many, group communication and personalized calls.

Through the forge portal, developers now have direct access to the forge SDK that enables support for WebRTC and IP services, as well as forge’s SMS API, which enables global connectivity to send messages. Once logged in, developers in the forge ecosystem can reference and download tools.

All new accounts will be provided with the Acision’s latest SDK and SMS features, offering a free test/development account and 90 days free access to a production account with video and voice minutes, IP or SMS messaging bundles and more. Built with integrated billing, purchasing additional services, minutes and bundles can be made as needed.

At the end of February the company will release the latest version of the forge SDK which will provide access to group messaging and recording, push notifications and integration with Facebook, Office 365, LinkedIn, Google Plus, GitHub and the customer identity management platform, Janrain. In addition, distinct levels of end-to-end secure messaging capabilities will be available.

The upcoming version of the SDK will also be the backbone to fuseMe by Acision, the company’s white-label, all-in-one communication app, meaning better alignment with the rich communication needs of the enterprise and providing a fully functioning reference application. Version 2.0 of the forge SDK will be coming in late March 2015, and will provide developers with access to a set of voice and video conferencing capabilities.
