Amazon has introduced its new Mobile Associates API for Android devices, enabling app developers to sell associated Amazon merchant products in-app. Developers can take a cut of up to 6% of items sold through Amazon’s 1-Click purchase program by integrating the new API into their app.

The new monetization program is being promoted by Amazon as a way for developers to establish a deeper connection with users, providing direct access to purchasing products and services that compliment the app’s individual characteristics.
