Zulu Embedded for IoT Development Is Now On Wind River Marketplace
Azul Systems has announced it is making its Zulu Embedded platform for Java 7 and 8 is now available for download on the Wind RiverMarketplace, an online app store offering add-on IoT solutions from the Wind River partner ecosystem. 

Zulu Embedded a is an open source Java Virtual Machine (JVM) based on OpenJDK which was developed for use by developers in the embedded, mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) markets.

Zulu Embedded is 100% open source and targets Java developers in the embedded and IoT markets who want to use an open source Java development kit and runtime. The solution allows developers to utilize a Java SE standards compliant package for specific support and configuration needs. Each Zulu Embedded build is verified by Azul using the Java Community Technology Compatibility Kit (TCK) and incorporates the latest OpenJDK bug fixes and security patches.

The Wind River Marketplace offers a number of IoT software options that range from safety, security, and storage to connectivity, graphics, and development tools. Working with Wind River, Azul has tested and validated Zulu Embedded for interoperability with Wind River Linux, an operating system that combines embedded expertise with open source software.
